What is a pawn?
A pawn is another word for a collateral loan. A collateral loan is when an individual brings in an item of value to receive money in return with the intent of getting the item back. Pelican Pawn offers a 90 day loan on pawned items with optional time extension payments. We are one of the few pawn shops to offer lower interest for high dollar loans. The more money you borrow the less interest you pay! (See Rate Schedule for details). Pawnbrokers lend money on almost anything of value: gold, silver, platinum, and/or diamond jewelry (even broken jewelry), firearms, televisions, electronics, gaming systems, tools, household items, car audio, vehicles, ATV’s, motorcycles, bicycles, lawn equipment, musical instruments, and much more!
Pelican Pawn is dedicated to finding a way to say YES to our customers. If the pledged item has resale value then chances are we take it! Our pawn loan customers have 3 options when they choose us. These options include: pay the loan back and retrieve the merchandise, pay an extension on the pawn loan after the 90 day loan term or forfeit the item to be sold at the pawn shop. We love to remind our customers that a pawn loan has NO credit check and NO repercussions if they decide not to pay back the loan. Pelican Pawn welcomes back ALL customers no matter if they redeem their items from pawn or leave them for us to sell. Pawn loans are based on the value of the collateral only and are NOT based on our customers ability to repay the loan.
Benefits of a Pawn Loan
Pawn loans are a very fast and simple way to borrow money without a credit check, extensive paperwork or hassle. Pawn loans are based on the value of the item you bring in, not your credit rating. Pelican Pawn offers pawn loans for 90 days. At the end of the 90 days you can pay back the principal plus interest to retrieve your item or pay an extension on your pawn to push back the maturity date.
